School Gardens CPD - How to build and teach from the garden

Influence the Influencer Provided by The King's Foundation

Join the Dumfries House Horticulture & Sustainable Food Systems team in our 1.1 acre organic Kauffman Education Garden to get to grips with the basics of building and maintaining your school garden from sowing the first seeds to procuring the most sustainable supplies right through to harvesting and overwintering.

In the afternoon, we will consider ways in which the garden can inform cross curricular learning within your school and potentially build links with the community by using the principles of Harmony in education.

This course is suitable for primary and secondary school teachers looking to set up a new school garden or breathe new life into an existing space.

This training workshop runs from 10am until 3pm. Tea and coffee will be provided.
