Construction Work Tasters

Work Inspiration and Preparation Provided by Developing the Young Workforce

DYW Scotland is delivering a CITB-funded project in partnership with construction sector employers.

A Construction Work Taster is an opportunity for young people to increase their awareness of the jobs and career pathways available in the construction and built environment sector. A work taster can focus on traditional roles, professional roles, or can introduce young people to the full spectrum of jobs and careers in the industry.

Work tasters are delivered by employers in a construction working environment. Specific timings, activities, and the number of young people who can attend a work taster varies depending on the capacity of the employer delivering the work taster.

If you're working with young people who are interested in attending a work taster, we will support as best we can to match them to a work taster opportunity.
