SSERC invites 5 secondary teachers to apply for an industry placement at Charles River Laboratories Edinburgh Ltd in Tranent. Whilst any teacher of STEM can apply, the placement is ideal for biology and chemistry teachers who are interested learning more about relevant workplaces, the practical skills required, careers pathways and overall developing careers education knowledge to help inspire and support their learners. The placement is two days long and will require you to be away from school at the placement providers location all day.
This company is a global CRO supporting leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, agrochemical and academic institutions to develop new medicines, treatments and products which improve human and animal health. The placement will provide a comprehensive overview of the skills and behaviours required to successfully work within a CRO, working on the development of new medicines, vaccines and other products designed to improve human and animal health.
