About the Programme

An employability programme for young people aged 16-24 based in Edinburgh, with 6 weeks of skills training sessions to ensure you feel ready for work, followed by a 4 week paid work placement at the Royal Bank of Scotland/NatWest in Gogarburn.  

Skills Sessions 
Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 12th March 2024 for 6 weeks at Youth Scotland’s office. 
Sessions will support young people to explore their key skills, develop a positive work mindset, and learn about career pathways, the workplace and applying for jobs. 

Mentoring by trained NatWest Group Employees 
Throughout the programme at different locations. 
13 hours of Mentor support to help young people create a personal work profile, build a professional relationship, and set goals for the future. 

Work Experience 
Starting 22nd April 2024 and lasting four weeks, 30 - 40 hours per week 
Work Insight days and a work placement to exercise new skills and build confidence. Paid the National Living Wage of £11.44 per hour.
