BBC Academy Live presents BBC Verify on Tour: Live from the University of Strathclyde

Work Inspiration and Preparation Provided by BBC Verify

BBC Verify on Tour offers a free online event helping young people build essential media literacy skills. Through live masterclasses, workshops and career insights, learners will explore how misinformation spreads, how journalists verify stories, and how creative teams tell compelling stories for TV and audio.
This session streams live from the University of Strathclyde and is open to schools and youth groups across Scotland.

  • Producing Long‑Form Audio & Combating Misinformation – an interactive workshop with journalist John Offord
  • Media Careers Panel – insights from BBC professionals
  • Cloaks, Daggers & Dressmaking – a storytelling masterclass with producers from The Traitors and The Great British Sewing Bee
