The Future Skills Programme

Work Inspiration and Preparation Provided by THE ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT TRUST

When: 16th–21st February, 20 hours of flexible study completed over five days


Who: S3 and S4 students of all abilities with an interest in STEM careers


Where: Online


What: Explore four key STEM pathways: Net Zero futures, Digital and AI futures, Health and Life Sciences futures, and Engineering, Infrastructure and Manufacturing futures.

 

The programme includes:

  • Live Q&A sessions with STEM professionals
  • Interactive panels with apprentices and universities
  • Sessions led by early careers professionals on important workpace skills
  • Achieve a nationally recognised Bronze Industrial Cadet Award


By the end of the course, students create a personalised action plan for pursuing a STEM career and graduate as Bronze-level Industrial Cadets, a nationally recognised award that can be used to support future applications and career journeys.
