Applications for Though the Lens Edinburgh South-East and South-West are open!

Applications are open for our Through the Lens programme, this hands-on filmmaking course is designed for adults aged 18+, with no upper age limit, living in South-East & South-West Edinburgh.

The course is ideal for beginners and no previous experience is needed, just an interest in film and a willingness to learn.

learners will gain practical experience in screenwriting, directing, producing, camera, sound operation, production design and editing. They will also explore film by watching and discussing films, before coming together as a crew to create a short film in your community!

South-East Edinburgh sessions will take place at Craigmillar Library, every Wednesday, 6pm to 8pm from the 25th February to 20th May.

South-West Edinburgh sessions will take place at Whale Arts, every Tuesday, 6pm to 8pm from the 3rd March to 26th May.

It's free to attend, with travel bursaries available for those who require financial assistance.
