Highland Broadband - How you get online

Work Inspiration and Preparation Provided by HIGHLAND BROADBAND NETWORKS LIMITED

Highland Broadband is pleased to offer a two-hour educational and interactive session titled “How You Get Online”, designed for rural Primary and High Schools within the areas where our network is live. This session forms a key part of our community engagement initiative, aiming to educate, inspire, and connect with the communities we serve.

During the session, pupils will learn about how broadband works – from fibre optic cables running underground, to how the internet travels to devices in their homes. We'll break down the journey in an age-appropriate and engaging way, helping young people understand the technology that powers their online lives.

We'll also showcase the different job roles that exist within Highland Broadband, from engineers and planners to customer service teams and IT specialists. This gives students a real-world look into potential future careers in the tech and telecoms sector.
