1-2 Week Summer STEM Placement - DEADLINE EXTENDED

Work Experience and Placements Provided by In2scienceUK

In2STEM is a fantastic programme for 16-19-year-olds passionate about science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics (STEM). The application deadline has now been extended to March 3rd.

 

Running from July 21st to August 22nd 2025, the programme offers:

  • A 1-2 week long in-person work experience placement 
  • Online skills, employability and careers workshops
  • Public engagement competitions

We have some amazing work placement opportunities:

  • Computer & Data Science/Software Engineering - EPCC, Uni of Edinburgh
  • Physics & Astronomy - Uni of Edinburgh
  • Biosciences with a strong focus on neuroscience & stem cells - UK Dementia Research Institute, Uni of Edinburgh
  • Biosciences with a strong focus on marine biology & ecology - National Museums Scotland, Edinburgh
  • Earth & Environmental Sciences with a strong focus on climate science and sustainability - Glasgow Science Centre
  • Physical & Organic Chemistry - Uni of Glasgow
