We are currently working for the Canal and River Trust on a major project to restore Toddbrook Reservoir after the dam auxiliary spillway was damaged in August 2019 after a period of intense rainfall.
We have excavated more than 15,000 tonnes of soil and installed over 500 concrete piles and 1,00 sheet piles to support the new concrete structures, which will, in future carry Todd Brook Stream and any reservoir overflow down into the River Goyt. Work is well underway to construct a new stilling basin, turrets and a spillway chute, with a second phase to build a new tumble bay and side weir by the water’s edge.
This will be a virtual online session hosted by Kier and Arup where you can expect to learn about:
• Design & Engineering work for the new stilling basin, turrets and spillway chute
• Digital modelling & the use of drone technology
• Hear from our graduate placements on the project about their career journeys
• Q&A session
