“Civil Engineers – shaping the world” presentation for senior phase pupils

Work Inspiration and Preparation Provided by INSTITUTION OF CIVIL ENGINEERS

Have you ever thought of civil engineering as a world changing career?

We are offering a presentation from one of our ICE STEM Ambassadors to senior phase pupils to help explain what civil engineering is and how it relates to our everyday lives, how civil engineers are vital in addressing the effects of climate change and meeting the challenges of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They can also cover the variety of entry and progression routes into and through the profession - Foundation, Modern & Graduate Apprenticeships, full-time and part-time study, scholarships, etc.

It's ideal for those considering a career in engineering or the built environment but would also be suitable for a wider audience and can be adapted to fit into a subject or PSE lesson, or for a larger assembly type event.
